Children’s Ministry Director
Family:
My husband Ryan and I met through mutual friends a few years before I moved to Austin in 2012 and were married in 2014. In June 2017 our son Robert was born and then our son Denver completed our family in June of 2020. We moved to Dripping Springs from Southwest Austin in 2018 and live on a 2.5 acre homestead with Ryan’s side of the family that we affectionately call “Krueger Compound” or “Krueger Cove” depending on who you ask.
What I do at church:
You can find me most Sundays over in the Kid Zone building working with preschool or elementary aged children. As soon as I was old enough to help in Sunday School as a child I was eager to volunteer. I remember working with the 2’s and 3’s classes at my childhood church as a 5th grader! Naturally when we joined SWFF I began to serve in Kid Zone. I absolutely love helping to instill a love for the Lord in the hearts of young children and my hope is to also be a support for the parents of young children in our congregation as we all know it takes a village!
How I Got Here:
I grew up attending a non-denominational bible church in the DFW area that I was very active in but as I moved around in my twenties I never found another church home as an adult. When we were first married, Ryan’s dad very shyly made a comment that if he would ever ask anything of us; it would be that we raise our children in church. This planted a seed in our hearts to find a church-family before starting our own family and we joined SWFF in 2015.
Favorite Sports Team:
Texas Longhorns (Hook’em!)
Favorite Toy growing up:
My American Girl Doll Samantha. I got her for Christmas when I was 8 years old.
Favorite Bible verse:
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you.”
Favorite Bible Story:
Jesus visits Mary and Martha. As a working twenty-first century mother and enneagram type one (the perfectionist!) I am often in need of a reminder to quiet my inner Martha and remember that there is just as much, if not more, to be gained from being still and resting in God’s presence – as there is with focusing on a bustling to-do list.
