It's nice to go out to eat, because we all appreciate being waited on and taken care of. We enjoy eating food that's been prepared by a chef who really knows what he or she is doing. And that's fine. But there comes a point when you have to learn to cook for yourself. You may never become a great chef but you can still take care of yourself by preparing something nutritious and tasty to give you what you need to be healthy. Self-feeding is important. The same is true for our spiritual lives. As you learn The Art of Self-Feeding and God helps you grow you will change, but you will always be you. Each of us is unique and I believe that each of us has a certain predisposition for relating to God.
