Anticipation

The heart of the Christmas story is that Jesus is the fulfillment of centuries of anticipation—the anticipation of the Messiah, the one coming to change the world. Even today, anticipation is a predominant emotion/feeling for Christmas. Whether it is simply anticipating the season, the festivities, or the gifts, that spirit can point us back to what we truly need—the Messiah.
